Instructions:
There are three board sizes: Small, Medium and Large.
There are three difficulty levels:
Beginner: This is the normal mode.
Master:
In this mode, the numbers don't show, move the cursor over them to see the numbers.
Guru: In
this mode, the spaces all look the same, scan with the cursor if you're good
enough.
How to Play:
The game board has a grid of decorative tiles. The pattern and color of the tiles has no effect on game play, however, hidden underneath these tiles are a number of mines.
You clear a way a tile by clicking on it with your mouse.
(you can right click to set a flag)

The number in the space you cleared, is a count of how many mines surround this space.
In the eight surrounding spaces, there is one hidden mine.
As you clear more and more spaces, your board will start to look like this:

Spaces with zero mines around them are automatically cleared, as are all the spaces around them. All the spaces above cleared with a single lucky click.
If you look at the covered space in the middle with all the ones around it, we can easily deduce that there is a mine under that space. You want to place a flag there.
You place a flag on a covered space by right clicking on that space.
Here you have right clicked on the tile and placed a skull and cross-bones flag on it.
As you mark the mines, the counter counts down to zero.
If you correctly mark all of the mines, you win the game.
This is different from other MineSweeper games, which require you to clear the field. This game only requires you to correctly mark the mines.
If you believe you marked a space incorrectly, you can right click on it a second time to remove the flag.
Here we have marked two other obvious mine locations.
Now look at this situation:

The "1" in the middle space means there is just one mine next to that space, and we have identified that mine, as shown by the black arrow.
This means that the space pointed to by the red arrow can't have a mine. So we can left click on this space and clear it.
However, there is a faster way.
This is what happens if you right click on a number space.
Since the mines around this space are already marked, any other covered spaces can be cleared. So when you right click on a cleared space, the game will clear any other spaces where the mines can't be! The assumption is that you did your job right. If you have marked a space wrong, this will cause the game to open up a space with a mine underneath.
You lose. (boom)
You can start a new game by clicking on Mr. Smiley.
If you click on Mr. Smiley again, he will start you off by opening up one safe location on the board.
You can change the difficulty by clicking on one of the medals.
In Master Mode,
the board does not show the numbers.
The cursor will show the numbers as you move it over the blank spaces.
In Guru mode,
the board does not show the empty spaces.
The cursor will change to show you a number when you move it over a cleared space.
The mines however do remain marked. (We're not cruel!)
The game is timed. Your score is the number of seconds it takes you to clear the board. Seperate statistics are kept for each level/size combination.
The total number of games played, the number of "wins", the fastest speed and the average speed are all displayed when you complete a game.
